Thanks to all our participants for making the world a shade better! Through your efforts, we collected nearly 100,000 acorns! Here are the winning groups: 1st place: * Sunrise Park Middle School, White Bear Lake ~ collected 134 lbs. (almost 40,000 acorns) 2nd place: * School of Environmental Studies, Apple Valley ~ collected 79 lbs. (almost 24,000 acorns) Other participating groups include: * The Alaska Wilderness Society * Ambassador Preparatory * Chisago Lakes High School * Cub Scout Pack 558 * Ericka Manning & Family * Girl Scout Troop 800 * Hill Murray High School * Honsa Family * Students Today, Leaders Forever Join us again in 2008 for the next Million Acorn Challenge! School, community, church and neighborhood groups are welcome to participate. Groups collect acorns throughout the month of September to win great prizes! |
