MISSISSIPPI RIVER GORGE - ECOLOGICAL INVENTORY AND RESTORATION MANAGEMENT PLAN
Working with the Longfellow Community Council's River Gorge Committee and the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board, GRG is completing an ecological inventory and a restoration and management plan for the blufflands along West River Road between 27th Street and the Ford Bridge. The plan recommends restoration and management activities for this unique site-the only true gorge on the entire stretch of the Mississippi River-and highlights opportunities for community involvement.
Funded in part by the
Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, as recommended by the
Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources.
