More than 450 volunteers have completed Greening's Basic Training course - the first step to becoming a supervisor. Our next Basic Supervisor Training will be held on:

Time: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
Location: American Engineering Testing, Inc., 550 Cleveland Ave North, Saint Paul
Cost: $15 one-time fee for new supervisors; no cost for experienced supervisors
Trainings are open to everyone as an introduction to Great River Greening and our restoration events. Previous experience or knowledge is helpful but not required. The trainings are also open to experienced supervisors as a refresher course. They are conducted by Great River Greening staff and focus on species identification, restoration techniques, and volunteer management.
In exchange for the training, all Supervisors are asked to commit to working at least one restoration event per year. Greening events are typically held in the spring and fall. Please bring your calendar and be prepared to sign up for a spring event after the training.

Include your name, mailing and email addresses, phone number, and date of the training. You will receive an email confirmation.

From Minneapolis: From I-94 E, exit at Cretin-Vandalia and take a left, or north, on Vandalia. Proceed until you come to the next stoplight, University Avenue. Take a right and go to the next stoplight, which is Cleveland Avenue. Take a right turn onto Cleveland and an immediate left at the second driveway, into AET’s
parking lot. Park in the visitor’s area near the main entrance, which is on the south end of the main building.

From Saint Paul:  From I-94 W, exit at Cretin-Vandalia and take a right turn, proceeding north on Vandalia, until coming to the next stoplight, University Avenue. Take a right and go to the next stoplight, which is Cleveland Avenue. Take a right turn onto Cleveland and an immediate left at the second driveway, into AET’s parking lot. Park in the visitor’s area near the main entrance, which is on the south end of the main building.
