Come volunteer side-by-side with MPR hosts and staff in this event celebrating MPR Water Month. We will be busting buckthorn and other invasive plants from Valley Park, in Mendota Heights, to improve the water quality in a creek that feeds the Mississippi River.
Pilot Knob Hill Preservation
Volunteers will restore the prairie with native pollinator shrubs and release milkweed seeds through a “podcast!”

Join Great River Greening at the first public event at the Rice Area Sportsmen’s Club (RASC) Wildlife Management Area (WMA).
Izaak Walton League
Volunteers will plant native forbs and grasses the natural habitat for local wildlife in a six-acre area nearby The Minnesota Valley State Trail.
Woodbury Pollinator Corridor
Volunteers will walk a mile to the beautiful site on flat terrain to plant 5,000 pollinator-friendly plants and it will improve the natural habitat and provide food for pollinators.
Crosby Farm Regional Park
Volunteers will help plant native shrubs and trees seedlings on uneven terrain to enhance the floodplain terrain and natural habitat for wildlife.
