Million Acorn Challenge

August 11 – September 21

Help us reach our goal of collecting one million acorns within the seven county metro area, where they will eventually be planted in the South Washington Conservation Corridor. The South Washington Conservation Corridor is an important greenway that provides an important habitat corridor and critical storage for stormwater runoff in the event of a significant rainfall. The Challenge is for individuals, families, school groups, church groups and community groups. Cash prizes awarded to the top collectors (based on weight).

This project is made possible with support from the South Washington Watershed District and the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.

Acorn drop off locations will be at Great River Greening and Crossroads Church in Woodbury on the following dates:

• August 21st at Crossroads Church in Woodbury from 7 to 10 am (please contact or 651-665-9500 x11 in advance with how many bags of acorns you will be dropping off)

• September 5th at Great River Greening’s office from 3 to 7 pm
