Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary - Saint Paul

Volunteers: 200

Supervisors: 30 >

Plant trees, shrubs, and grasses along the brook as we continue the transformation of this neglected former railroad site into a 42-acre nature sanctuary! Once completed, Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary will provide prairie, savanna, maple-basswood forest, wetlands, recreational trails, and stormwater management—all right in the heart of the city! After the event, and starting at 12:30pm at Trout Brook, join Greening in celebrating our 20th Anniversary of restoring land, water and wonder throughout (and beyond) the Twin Cities! This project is made possible with support from the City of Saint Paul, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation, Capitol Region Watershed District, Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, Minnesota Outdoor Heritage Fund, Mortenson Family Foundation, Fairmount Santrol, McNeely Foundation, and the 3M Foundation.

NOTE: There is considerable construction around the area.  Please review the maps available at for directions that fit your route.
