As a Supervisor, you’ll lead and educate groups of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds at our restoration events. As a part of the Supervisor Team, you can help connect people to nature, restore our shared natural resources, and inspire environmental stewardship. This is one of two identical trainings taking place this spring. Can’t make this date or location? Check out our other Supervisor Training for Restoration Programs.
This two hour training is open to 12 participants and covers: GRG history, general details on GRG events, Supervisor role and expectations, and tips and discussions on working with and leading volunteers. This training is held indoors in a lecture/small group discussion format, though all of our events are outdoors and require some level of physical activity. Light snacks and beverages will be available for participants.
Note: Becoming an active part of the Volunteer Supervisor Team requires completion of a background check. You will receive an invitation to complete this background check upon signing up for this training. Let us know if you do not anticipate joining an event this season, so we can better plan the background screening process for you. For more information on the background screening process visit the Background Screening FAQ webpage.
