As a Supervisor at FLT events, you’ll lead, educate, and hold meaningful conversations with high school and middle school aged youth. In this role, you’ll help connect youth to nature and inspire them to have a voice in the environmental movement. As a Volunteer Supervisor at our Field Learning for Teens events, you’ll learn best practices for restoration tasks, gain skills in speaking with and educating teens, learn to direct and educate using different environmental science activities, and much more!

This is one of two identical trainings taking place this spring. Can’t make this date? Check out the other Supervisor Training for School Programs.
This is Part 1 of the Volunteer Supervisor Training for Great River Greening’s School Programs. Part 1 is open to 15 participants and covers: GRG history, goal of FLT program, general details on FLT events, Supervisor role and expectations, and working with/leading teens. Completion of this training will allow Supervisors to lead restoration activities at FLT events. If you wish to lead other environmental science activities at FLT events, you will need to also take Part 2 of this training.
Part 1 is held indoors and seated (lecture/small group discussion style), though all of our events are outdoors and require some level of physical activity. Light snacks and beverages will be available for participants.
Registration is closed for this event.
