Description: Attend the second part of the Volunteer Supervisor Training to become cleared to lead the non-restoration activities at our Field Learning for Teens (FLT) events. Having taken Parts 1 and 2 of this training, you will be qualified to lead all activities at FLT events (restoration, water quality chemistries, macroinvertebrate sampling, GPS/geocaching, terrestrial invertebrate sampling, etc.). Through these activities, you’ll lead discussions with your small groups and help connect these youth to nature and inspire them to have a voice in the environmental movement.

Part 2 of the Volunteer Supervisor Training for Great River Greening’s School Programs is open to 20 participants. During this training, we will walk step-by-step through each activity in small groups and cover: an introduction to the activity and various tools used, hands-on trials with all participants using the tools, and conversations on the various discussion topics in each activity. Completion of this training will allow Supervisors to lead educational activities at FLT events (water quality chemistries, macroinvertebrate sampling, GPS/geocaching, terrestrial invertebrate sampling, etc.). All participants MUST have previously completed Part 1 of this training.
Part 2 is held completely outdoors. Please come prepared for the weather (we will hold this event even in light rain). Light snacks and beverages will be available for participants.
Registration is closed for this event.
