We’re proud to announce that Thomas J. Braun, Stoel Rives environmental attorney, joined Great River Greening’s Board of Directors and will serve a one-year term, starting immediately.
Mr. Braun’s experience in energy and the environment will assist the board as they set strategic priorities and continue our important work. Additionally, Mr. Braun is committed to community-based restoration; his volunteer experience at South Washington Conservation Corridor helped stabilize a floodplain and protect a native prairie.
“I am thrilled to help Great River Greening continue to thrive and grow in its ability to take on restoration projects throughout Minnesota,” Braun said. “Its work conserving the ecology and beauty of our state benefits all of us.”
An associate in Stoel Rives’ Environmental, Natural Resources and Land Use Group, Braun represents clients at the federal, state, and local levels in matters involving environmental and energy issues. He has experience in the management, remediation, and redevelopment of contaminated properties and in the siting, permitting, and development of large commercial facilities. Braun has helped clients resolve enforcement actions brought by governmental regulators, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
