Become a Volunteer Grazing Ambassador at our Restoration Grazing events at Historic Pilot Knob Hill.
Learn about restoration grazing and the benefits of it to native prairie, why we are bringing it to Pilot Knob Hill and how you can educate trail users about the program.
This is our first public ‘restoration grazing’ activity and we need volunteers to get the word out to the public. We will train you at a 1-hour session at the Pilot Knob Hill site, and supply you with written handouts. We ask that you sign up for at least one weekday or weekend shift between May and October. Sorry, no horse handling or riding, we’ll be leaving that to the horse owners.
Grazing Shifts will be available for two weeks starting in late May, two weeks starting in late July, and for one week in mid October. Calendar details will be discussed at the workshops. Shifts will be available in two or four hour increments.
