Alex Bahr
Project Manager — Twin Cities Metro
Alexander (Alex) Bahr returned to Great River Greening in February 2024 as the Metro Project Manager. He comes in with 7 years of field experience in ecological restoration on both public and private lands. Formerly, he worked for Resource Environmental Solutions, Great River Greening (as a restoration technician), and the Conservation Corps of Minnesota & Iowa.
Alex has committed himself to working with, and at times against, the elements to help enhance Twin Cities area ecosystems through his work, education, and volunteering. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Natural Resource Stewardship through Colorado State University Online and previously earned an ArcGIS certificate (Minnesota North College) and Bachelor of Ecology (University of Minnesota, Twin Cities). You can still find him attending eco-restoration volunteer events in his spare time, or hiking the various parks of the south metro. His favorite park to visit is Lebanon Hills Regional Park, a space where he has spent more time and effort than any other over the years.
