Two Law Firms, One River of Support: Celebrating Fox Rothschild and Stoel Rives
As part of our 30th anniversary celebration, Greening is proud to spotlight Fox Rothschild and Stoel Rives, two corporate partners whose steady current of support keeps restoration work flowing across Minnesota. Fox Rothschild and Stoel Rives, both $5,000 River-level donors, have shown up for years — with philanthropic gifts, pro bono expertise, board leadership and employees who roll up their sleeves at hands-on events. Their partnership helps us deliver nature-based climate solutions that improve habitat, water quality and community resilience.
Fox Rothschild LLP: long-standing champions of conservation and community
Since 2006, Fox Rothschild has contributed more than $40,000 to Greening — on top of thousands of dollars in pro bono support that strengthens our operations and reduces administrative costs so more resources reach the field. The firm’s leaders have also guided our mission through board service, including Tom Marek, Tim Scallen and current board member JT Schuweiler.
Fox Rothschild supports Greening through River-level philanthropy, pro bono legal expertise, board leadership and hands-on volunteerism — from tree planting and seed collection to caring for restored lands. Stoel Rives LLP: sustained giving that grows the canopy of impact
A corporate partner since 2009, Stoel Rives has contributed more than $100,000 to Greening. Their support spans special-event sponsorships, direct donation support, enthusiastic event attendance and field volunteers who get their boots dirty alongside our staff and community members. We’re also grateful for past board leadership from firm partners and for the ongoing contributions of current board member and Stoel Rives partner Thomas Braun.
Stoel Rives supports Greening through River-level sponsorship and a direct donation, board leadership that provides strategic insight and accountability, and hands-on volunteerism — teams assisting with tree plantings, prairie care and invasive removal. Together, these commitments help expand tree canopy in heat-vulnerable neighborhoods, restore prairies and forests for wildlife, and engage students and volunteers in caring for Minnesota’s lands and waters.
