Joining him was Dan Shaw, Senior Ecologist/Vegetation Specialist at the Board of Water and Soil Resources.

Great River Greening contributed to a study by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), to compile list of the best milkweed and other nectar-rich species for private landowners to plant along field borders, in buffers along waterways or around wetlands, in pastures, and other suitable locations.
