Bridgeview Park Reserve preserves rare habitat in Sherburne County
Great River Greening is partnering with Sherburn County to restore oak woodland and brushland to Bridgeview Park Reserve - at 28.8 acre parcel that holds a rare, nearly undisturbed plant community with pre-European type vegetation.
New trail winds through prairie restored by volunteers
A ribbon cutting celebration this month officially opens a trail in Maplewood’s Fish Creek Natural Area that winds through woodlands and prairie, leading to scenic views from the bluff. The hike is beautiful throughout, and much that is due to Great River Greening volunteers.

St. Thomas sophomore Rachael Heier spent last summer in Fish Creek, researching how annual climate change may affect our native trees. It was part of a Great River Greening restoration project, which has St. Thomas helped with since 2011.
