If your site has received funds from the Outdoor Heritage Fund, you may be eligible for use of on Big Box Kiln , with dedicated trailer with no equipment rental charge. Damage deposit required.

Your biochar processing may also be eligible for a reduced fee on subcontracted assistance. You can also hire Great River Greening staff to operate the kilns and/or to oversee the biochar operations.

Partners in Great River Greening’s OHF programs - Anoka Sand Plain, Sauk River Watershed, Metro Big Rivers, and Cannon River Watershed – receive priority consideration. Funded by Outdoor Heritage Fund.

During the biochar process, oversized or under-cured material sometimes results in ‘bones’ (partially charred pieces). Can your site accept ‘bones’?
